Bernadette Walsh has been involved in the world of genealogy in various guises since returning to Ireland in 2002. Originally from Dun Laoghaire but now living in Gorey, Co. Wexford she studied genealogy in the Independent College Dublin under the tutelage of Paul Gorry M.A.G.I and Accredited Genealogists Ireland. Her background is 25 years of company formation and administration (ICSA qualified) and is a member of IGRS and Dalton Genealogical Society.
Bernadette has also trained as a tutor. She has assisted local schools and colleges with genealogy courses/diversity week and heritage week in the Wexford area. Over the past few years, she has been involved in clan work, local history groups, photographing gravestones, intergenerational programmes, active retirement groups/ICA, diversity week and heritage week.
Bernadette Walsh set up Daulten Quaile Genealogy in 2002, and is based at The Lennon Education Centre, Gorey, which offers research facilities, and comfortable surroundings for client’s to carry out internet research on their family history guided by Bernadette Walsh. she provides monthly weekend courses for beginners who are learning to trace their family history, and takes clients on guided field trips to any of the repositories in Dublin. Bernadette also partakes in voluntary work with the local Gorey Library where she tries to give a little knowledge back to her local community. She has also assisted groups with the Irish Gatherings and has assisted clients with taking part in the Genealogy Road Shows.
