Tracing your Ancestors in the Revolutionary Period

Accredited Genealogists Ireland in association with the NLI will hold a series of lunch time lectures on family history for Adult Learners’ Week 2016 (Feb. 22 to Feb 27). The lectures on “Tracing your Ancestors in the Revolutionary Period” will explore military and RIC family history as well as the family histories of those involved.

AGI Elects New President

At its Annual General Meeting on Friday, 4th December, Accredited Genealogists Ireland (formerly the Association of Professional Genealogists in Ireland) elected Máire Mac Conghail as its new president, in place of outgoing president, Steven Smyrl. Steven, who had completed a maximum three year term, welcomed Máire as his successor and as the Association’s eighth president.
