On Saturday, 16th April at the Cork Archives, Rosaleen Underwood MAGI will be speaking about Riobárd Langford, his family history and his role in 1916 as Lieutenant of the Cork No.1 Brigade of Volunteers. Members of AGI will present five lunchtime lectures during Adult Learners’ Week 2016. The lectures will introduce genealogical sources that might be used to document ancestors who were alive in 1916 or who were active during the Rising. Eileen was one of our founding members and a very unassuming, generous colleague, while being very knowledgeable about all aspects of genealogical sources and research. Eileen qualified as a barrister and was called to the bar before raising her family. In the mid-1960s she began working as a genealogical researcher for the Genealogical Office, Dublin Castle.
