Areas of research: All of Ireland

Coming from a background in IT (BSc. Honours Degree from Dublin City University), Susan Chadwick was initially engaged as an IT tutor before moving on to project management at a software company in Dublin. She started researching her own family tree in 1997, using various avenues to track down long-lost relatives abroad. Encouraged by this success, she continued tracing her maternal line in Ireland back to the 1650s. From this sprung her love of genealogy and set the path for her future career. While studying for a Certificate in Genealogy at University College Dublin, she began researching professionally.

Susan’s background in IT and education serves her well, both in her research and in her ability to convey her genealogical knowledge to others, providing individual consultations and lectures to local groups.

Living in Co. Offaly, Susan is centrally located to carry out research throughout Ireland.
