Areas of research: The counties of Ireland but especially in the counties of the Republic of Ireland
Special Interests: Nineteenth and twentieth century records of both Church and State like births/baptisms, marriages, deaths and Wills. Land records like the Tithe Applotment Books, the Valuation Office Books, Griffith’s Valuation, the books held in the Valuation Office and Landed Estate Court records
Membership: Member of Accredited Genealogists Ireland, Genealogical Society of Ireland, Irish Genealogical Research Society, Stillorgan-Kilmacud Local History Society.
Publications: I have contributed articles to the Journal of the Genealogical Society of Ireland and The Obelisk, the Journal of the Stillorgan-Kilmacud Historical Society. I have also contributed to AGI’s Image of the Month. In 2023, I published a book on farming families in Mayo 1840-1940 called The Kiltimagh Feericks. Courses and Lectures: I have taught a Genealogy Course at the Blackrock Institute for Further Education for several years and have given Lectures to the Genealogical Society of Ireland, Wicklow County Library, Fordham University, New York, Falmouth Genealogical Society MA, and on behalf of Accredited Genealogists Ireland.
